January 13
Marc Kerr and Bob DeVoe presented applications for safeguarding data on hard drives: Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner, Retrospect, SMART Utility, and SoftRAID.
February 17
Marc Kerr introduced a number of recent products that were unveiled at MacWorld 2010.

March 10
The presentation was cancelled due to illness.

April 14
The announced presenter, Jason Bruder, Apple Systems Engineer, was unable to come at the last minute, so Mark Kerr stepped in to present the iPad.

May 11
Jim Knowlton and Marc Kerr illustrated Mac tools and techniques that apply the Getting Things Done philosophy to organize your life. 

June 8
Marc Kerr’s talk, Staying Safe on the Internet, presented tools and techniques to avoid trojans, spam, viruses, and other malicious intrusions that can disrupt your computer and damage your data (For notes of Marc's presentation, in pdf format, click here). 

July 13
Our annual picnic took place, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Sycamore Shelter in Lower Cascades Park. SMUG provided soft drinks, food to grill (hamburgers, veggieburgers, etc.), and all the fixings. Others brought appetizers, main course items and deserts to share.

August 10
Marc Kerr continued his June presentation Staying Safe on the Internet, this time covering File Vault and other techniques for securing Macs and their data from theft or loss.
